About
Levitt + Moss Architects specializes in custom multi-unit and single family residential design. We believe that learning about people, their hopes and wishes, how they live and function in their daily lives, is the most important thing we can do as designers. As we design and look for solutions, we are drawn to the optimism of modernism, the grounded forms of tradition, to clean lines and flowing spaces.
Kyle Moss is the principal architect at Levitt + Moss. Prior to establishing his own firm Kyle worked for two iconic Los Angeles architects, Frank Gehry and Harold Levitt. Kyle was associate architect with Harold (Hal) at the end of his long career and upon Hal’s retirement, in 2001, Kyle transitioned Hal’s firm to the new firm of Levitt + Moss Architects.
Kyle focuses on sustainable design both as an architect and in the past as a teacher. Kyle became a LEED accredited professional in 2007 and was chosen as a designer for the pilot program of the expansion of the LEED rating system into single-family homes.
Sustainability has become the cornerstone of our practice. We seek to identify and incorporate appropriate elements of green building design whether or not a project is seeking certification or not. We have completed LEED certified homes in both Modern and Traditional styles.
