Too often landscape is pushed to end of the design process yet as the biggest single user of residential water, as an element which can provide passive cooling to a structure, and as a sustainable choice to enlarging a home through indoor/outdoor living, intelligent landscape design is essential. Landscape designer Lisa Moss’ designs emphasize sustainability through the extensive use of California native plants and edible landscapes. Her work has met the stringent standards of the City of Santa Monica’s Office of Sustainability and the platinum rating level of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes program.
